Thanks to Jennifer for the hand-me-down Leapster for Joshua. He absolutely loves it and thinks he's a big kid, just like his brothers. What is nice about this one is that it is the older silver/blue edition so it makes his stand out from the other 2 that we already have. It's perfect. Thanks!!!!!

This cute little birdie has been hanging around the past few days. Granted my picture is not the best, but this is enlarged so you can see his colors. He is a beautiful little bird and a new one for us here. None of us have seen this little guy around before. After consulting with our
Birds of Michigan book, we were able to confirm that he is in fact an Indigo Bunting. There is still one bird that Ryan, Mom, nor I am able to name. We have checked our book & looked online and have come up empty on what this particular bird is. He was only around for 1-2 days so best guess is that he was just passing thru. My next step in finding out what type of bird he was is to stop in at the
Whitefish Point Bird Observatory and talk to them about it.
A tad bit warmer around here today and not as windy--and so far, no rain. Weather reports are calling for a nice weekend around here, maybe even in the 70's. I keep thinking back to last year and how hot and humid it was. Hoping that this year will be a more typical weather pattern for here.
Joshua's wounds are all healing nicely. In a few days he may even be injury free! Damn, should I have said that outloud as I typed it??? Perhaps I should knock on some wood...........after all, he is outside with Mom playing and something is bound to happen............I have forced my 2 big boys to get dressed so we are also headed outside to play. (Only had to force Brendan, as usual!) Have a good day!

Love to see that Joshua is getting some use out of the Leapster. Those things are great! I hope he gets many hours of play out of it!!!
