So this speech class is going to suck. Not just normal suck, but the stuttering, mouth dry, get-me-the-hell-outta-here suck. Day one: we have to interview another sucker in the class and then give an introductory speech about them! Great, except for the fact that the kid I interviewed was a 21 year old kid who was just as worried about this class as I am. Of course, there are several students (assholes) in the class that have no trouble speaking in public, which puts the rest of us to shame.......note to self, never follow one of those speeches, that is for sure. Being in this class is making me wish I liked coffee more and was still smoking cause its about the only way I think I could make it thru these next 6 weeks.
The family went on a lovely shopping trip to the local grocery store. My middle child had to throw not one, but two, marvelous tantrums while in the store. Why, you ask? Well, the race-car-cart only had 1 steering wheel, which his older brother was apparantly using at that moment. Would I like to punch the little f--cker who broke the other steering wheel off in the first place? Why, yes, yes I would. (Assuming that the someone who broke it off was some smart-ass teenager, that is.)
My Mother-n-Law is again in the hospital. We are hoping this surgeon will know what they are doing, as clearly the first one did not. You know you have a great physician when his basic response is something like this, "Go ahead and do what you have to. I have malpractice insurance." And yes, it is fair to say that he is suffering from the "God Complex" as some do........
Our roof now has piles upon piles of new shingles just sitting there waiting for this weekend. Ryan is calling it his "Roofing Party" and all are invited to participate. My job is to make the food on the grill. I have told him again and again that I am not proficient in grilling anything, let alone for several men who have busted their balls all day on my roof, but he has faith in me. Perhaps I can call on Alida's awesome grilling skills ;)

I have been forced to take ove most grilling duties here since R doesn't have any idea how to do it and my step-father cooks everything to the consistancy of a hockey puck. Of course we have one of those newfangled gas monsters and I prefera little charcoal grill.
