The 2nd day of the New Year

I'm getting a tad excited knowing that my sister will be up tomorrow. I haven't seen her or the kids in quite awhile, so I can not wait! Last I heard Jeff was not going to make it up, but if he does, that would be great.

Today I'm thinking about Brendan's birthday. 9 days away. I pre-ordered him this movie back in October. It was supposed to be shipped out Dec. 30th, which would get it here in plenty of time for his birthday. So imagine how disappointed I was to get the email on the 31st that there has been a delay in shipping and we won't recieve it till the end of January or beginning of February. Ugh. The poor kid has been waiting for that movie to come out (dubbed in English) for over a year! What I think I will do is print out a picture of the movie, past it to some cardboard with a note and giving it to him. He will be excited enough to just know that it will be coming soon enough. This leaves me with few ideas of what I can buy for him to open on his birthday. And then we have to discuss the cake. Last year was the Gamera cake so we can't do that again. He is really into Star Wars right now, so maybe I can start planning a Star Wars birthday party. I'll talk to him in a bit to see what kind of party he'd be wishing for because knowing Brendan, he'll come up with something out of the blue.

Ryan's glasses are still not in. Mine were in after 7 days, his still not and its been 11 days today. I am still wondering if mine are a bit too strong for me. I am going to wear them longer today and will try to decide from that. Being that I have no vision insurance, I had to pay lots of money for them so I have to be sure that they are exactly what I need.

Brendan just informed me that he wants a Sonic birthday. WHAT?! I told you he'd come up with something out of the blue! And here he is with his new art supplies.........just what is he going to do with those?? Okay, I told him that Sonic party stuff would be hard to find, so he decided to make his own, hence him getting his big art kit that he got for Christmas. The kid difinately has the imagination and art skills of his Daddy's side of the family!! (**His art kit is one we made ourselves. Bought LOTS of supplies for him and organized them in smaller containers which all fit into a larger one with a handle. Its the perfect gift for him since he is constantly drawing, coloring, and cutting.)

Going to go find something to eat now.
