Date Night

Its been a few days but here is the update about my date! It was with my oldest son. It was sweet and something that I will never forget.

He asked me out on a date. How could I refuse such an offer? He was taking this serious. He drew a top hat and a bow tie, colored & cut them out, and wore them on the date. (By wearing them I mean that he taped them to himself.) It was adorable. So off we went to the Soo. He wanted to treat me to a meal at McDonalds, so that is where we went. He was such a little man. He ordered his own meal, then told me it was my time to order, and he was sure to tell the girl at the register, "My Mom needs to order hers now, but I'm going to pay for it." My heart wanted to melt! After our dinner we stopped at a few stores. Not once did I have to open any doors, he opened each and every door for me--even the van door, to which he would close after I got in and then he would get into his booster seat. We had great conversations (where he would say things like, "How was your day today My Lady?") and it could not have gone better. I even got a sweet little goodnight kiss when we got home !)

The following day Aaron took me out on a date. We went up town to Paradise to have lunch. Of course we had to buy some excellent cookies that they sell there. My date with Aaron was just as sweet, but different cause he's a different kid than his brother. Very private he is. Again, it is another thing that I will never forget.

I'm so lucky to have my boys. Each one has their own distinct personality. Seeing them grow and change every day is something that I never want to take for granted.
