Chit-Chatty on the day I was born

So today I am a bit sad, not depressed or anything, just feeling a bit blue at times. It has nothing to do with my birthday. I don't much care that I am aging. I get more sad on my boys' birthdays cause I hate them getting older cause I want them to be my babies forever. But me? I can age, no issues. Seriously. What is bothering me a bit today is that Jackie, Jeff, and the kids left for home today. It signals the end of our summer visitors. And yes, we have had a lot of visitors this summer. I just am a bit sad cause I don't know when the next time will be that we can all see Nick and Clare. Jackie is back to work and Jeff will start classes again, so they won't have the time to make the drive right now. Thank goodness for email and blogs!!

The end of summer also means the start of yet another school year for the boys and me. Yeah, I like school, but come on, I like summer vacation better! Time spent with my 3 boys. Time to breathe and enjoy doing NOTHING. Yesterday I did get some great news about the first day of school: Both Brendan and Aaron will have the first day of school on Tuesday. Tuesdays just happen to be the only day that I get off during the school week!!!!! Meaning that I won't miss the first day of kindergarten for Aaron & the first day of 1st grade for Brendan. Yeah! I was going to have to email my professor and tell them that I would be missing class on day one just so I didn't have to miss the boys day. Ah, I just can't miss those days!

There is just so much to do in the next weeks before school starts.
  • Cut and mail pics of the boys to friends and family downstate.
  • Order my books for school
  • Order Ryan's books for school
  • Have the boys try on school clothes already purchased.
  • Buy more school clothes cause I'm pretty sure that half of the pants I've already bought will need to be returned cause they won't fit.........
  • Get haircuts for boys
  • Get myself a haircut
  • Take Brendan to the dentist
  • Take Aaron for his immunizations
  • Clean out and organize Aaron's dresser as half the clothes in it are too small for him now.
  • Purchase backpacks for the boys and possibly myself if I can find one that will carry 200lbs of books plus a laptop.

Ahh, the Blueberry Festival has come and gone for the year. Didn't make the blueberry breakfast this year, so I am bummed about that. But hey, I bought the kids marshmallow guns so that makes up for it! Brendan won a prize at the fishbowl--did you win Alida?

Not sure what the plans are for my birthday today. Think its gonna be pretty low key. I did already get my present from my sister and Jeff. I picked out a hoodie from the Festival that i wanted and they got it for me. I also bought myself a long sleeved tshirt and a zip up hoodie thing from there as well so I think that will count as my birthday presents from Ryan this year. Love it!! So far the day has consisted of playing outside, going to the Post Office, stopping by to see Ryan at work, and watching TV with the boys. And laundry. Lots of laundry.

Well, I suppose I should go and start some more laundry, as I have a ton of it to do today. After that I have to start on that list above.........what to do, what to do........

HAppy Birthday. I almost emailed you to see how fair away you lived. I did see you had a lot of family that same weekend. We did not bring a car so we did not due much other then the Island and stay at camp. It was 23$ a person for the boat ride kids under 5 I think free. We did the carriage ride NO BIKES!
