Mom got a new toy. Dad has posted a link to the photo on The Northern State.
I am in a pissy mood this evening. Nothing that a glass of milk and some thin mint cookies won't cure. And I wonder why I've gained 5 pounds this semester...........oh, add this to my list from my previous post: eat better. no more late night snacking. get active. lose weight.
Heading to a friend's house tomorrow afternoon for a pharmacology study session. I do wonder if these do me any good, and I sort of doubt they do as I am the type who needs to say things out loud over and over to myself. But there is one thing I love about our study sessions: the food. We don't do the usual college food of pizza. Kelley usually cooks some awesome dinner and the rest of us bring vegetables, fruits, salad, brownies, all kinds of yumminess. All in all its just a good time with friends as we all fret over our upcoming exam.
It was a cool, misty, rainy, foggy kind of day here in the north. I spoke to some guy downstate who told me it was 82 and muggy. I'll take my weather any day thanks.
Brendan is going to a birthday party for a girl who is turning 8. I was totally at a loss at what a girl of 8 would want as a gift. Knowing the family like I do, I pretty much knew that HSM, H.M., and those skanky-looking Br-tz dolls would be out as choices. I finally decided on a kit filled with beads and stuff to make her own jewelry and a cute little purse fit for a girl of 8. As I was looking at stuff, it seemed to me that there are a lot more cool stuff for boys than there are girls. Yet I am looking at it all thru eyes of a woman with all boys and then I am thankful that I don't have a house full of those glittery things. (I just have the house that in the middle of the night you may accidentally step on that ONE lego that was missed in cleanup time!) Admit it---you all know exactly what I am talking about because I bet you have all stepped on that lego!
I must go study but there is no motivation. There is no desire. I keep thinking about sleep. Or cookies. Or what is on TV. Or why aren't my kids asleep yet? Or if Brian (on Top Chef) is happy that he is the only one left with the faux-hawk? Oh my life is awesome, is it not?

I will remember this post when Auntie Terrie buys Baby Clare pretty sparkly girly things!! Pretty pink and purple stuff
I agree with Jackie....Auntie will have fun buying girly things. Or Clare might always get blocks and cool legos (for her parents to step on!) from her aunt and uncle.
