Its Raining, Its Foggy, and I can hear the freighters' fog horns!

Monday morning........Brendan got on the bus and I just got got back from taking Aaron to Preschool. Now its just Joshua and I with the dogs. I already have dinner on the stove to simmer all day. Yummy homemade chicken soup. MMMMMmmmmmmmm.

I read Heather's post and I have to agree with her: What is up with this October weather? I have been complaining about this too warm weather since mid-September. I am a gal who likes her 4 seasons. I particularly love Fall and Winter, but up here, I LOVE the winter. Last year, if I remember correctly, we had snow before Halloween. This year, we are still in the mid 70's. I did watch the weather this morning and yet again they are saying we are going to get our cool-down. I know, they told us this a few weeks ago and were very wrong. But, according to the weather people, the cold front should roll in by this evening, bringing our day time temps to the mid-to-low 50's. Now that's what I'm talking about!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween costumes are all set to go. I am extremely happy to say that I don't have to buy one costume this year. Joshua will most likely be Superman--which Aaron was a couple years ago. Aaron plans to be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, which we bought last year and no one ended up being for Halloween (but they did play with the costume here at the house a lot), and Brendan is going to be a Power Ranger or Spiderman. Whichever costume Brendan decides to wear, it will be the last year he can do so. Next year he will definitely need a new costume as he is getting so tall. Thank goodness that I don't have to spend a dime on costumes. Love it.

My Mom is due back home today. She left to visit my Dad downstate on Thursday. Coming up is their anniversary, Jackie & Jeff's anniversary, AND Nicholas will turn 1.

It has finally happened. What?? The boys have come down with some sneezing and runny-noses. Great. I have been quietly rejoicing each week since school has started that they have avoided any sickness, but I can rejoice no longer. I suppose its not that bad, since this starts Brendan's 5th week of school and this is the first snotty mess that they have brought home. Have to call the pharmacist to see what OTC meds they can take with their RX allergy med.

Wow. Its REALLY quiet around here with only one kid. Josh loves this time because he can play with all the "forbidden toys" that his brothers won't allow him to touch otherwise. Right now he is playing with the Power Rangers. I did some toy-switching on Friday. On a whim I decided to clean out the "other" closet in the boys bedroom. This is the closet that has some things in, but its known as the "toy closet" because it has MILLIONS of toys in it. With Brendan away at school, I tackled it. It started off as me cleaning the boys bedroom and my plan was to just going thru 1 toy bin a day, but once I got in there, I couldn't quit. I tossed out all broken toys, little pieces of crap toys, and threw out some older toys that I couldn't tell you where they came from. That sounds like I got rid of a lot doesn't it?? Not really, but I did make a dent. The closet is clean and organized again, so that I love. I still haven't gotten the closet that I dread. Soon. Very soon.

There are chores I best get to. Namely vacumming. And laundry. Never-ending laundry.

First, you suck for getting by without having to fork out the moolah for Halloween garb. Now that I've said that, I can also tell you that I'm completely jealous. Steve finally ordered our overpriced Pikachu costume tonight. If I'm lucky it'll be here in time to get completely ruined at the campground next weekend!

Second, I need to do the toy cleaning out crap here. Badly. And what a good time to do it while they are at school. Smart mama. I'm just waiting for a spare second and that'll be on my list of things to do.

Third, you have the cutest nephew next to all of mine. Jackie has some cute pics of Nicholas up on her site today!!
