We had a nice time with Janine, Mark, & the kids while they were here. Next year we hope to plan a time when they can come up for a longer period of time. It was really nice having them here with us for those few days.

Yesterday Brendan and I had a day of running errands in the Soo. Our day consisted of buying my books for class ($200), purchasing Webkinz charm bracelets, school-clothes shopping for Brendan (which was fun because his favorite color is green, so he only wanted clothes with green), and purchasing a few other items that we needed for school and home. We also had an appointment for Brendan to have his speech evaluated. I noticed he had something off in his speech pattern but couldn't quite place it. It was eventually pointed out by Janine a few weeks ago that she thought it was a lisp. Sure enough, that is what it is. He did great at his evaluation and she says there is a slight lisp, but with help, it can easily be corrected. He will go once a week for speech therapy at the local hospital speech department. Once school starts, he should also get help there once a week. Between those 2 sessions, the therapist thought he would show rapid improvement. And just to brag about my son, the therapist tested his vocabulary and he scored high, showing his vocab was par with a 10 year-old. Yep, he's a genius. That's my boy!

School starts for Brendan and I next week Wednesday. Ryan has already started one of his online courses. Preschool for Aaron will start in a few weeks after that. That means this week I am going to be busy getting everything ready for all of us. I think I will be glad once school finally starts for us all and we can get into some sort of routine.

We had a lot of rain early this morning. The weatherman said our area had 1 inch of rainfall. How awesome is that??
