These are what Brendan, Aaron, & I made yesterday. It was a dreary, rainy morning so we decided to cheer it up with some chocolate. When I have made these in the past, I have always used Dove chocolate cause I am a totally addicted to Dove. But Janine told me to just use chocolate chips and melt them in the microwave. So that is what we did. I don't know if it was the weather or not, but I had trouble getting the chocolate to melt in a consistent way and then I was afraid to over-melt cause I didn't want it to get all chuncky and burnt. Over all, the pretzels were yummy. Here is a photo of Aaron after we finished making the pretzels and also one of Joshua after he finished eating a pretzel. And no I did not take any pictures of Brendan working because, well, he was clean.

Last night on Dirty Jobs, Mike Rowe was doing the job of picking up horse poop on Mackinac Island. The entire household sat down to watch it just as a storm was passing thru. And get what happened?? The storm knocked out our satellite signal and we missed all but the first 5 minutes. Damn it. Reruns. Thank goodness for reruns. Instead we sat in the dark (on purpose) and watched all the lightning. It was pretty awesome.

Oh--remember that school shopping I did with Brendan?? Well, it was a total waste of time, as his pants don't fit him at all. He is very skinny and will not fit into the boys 4/5 but is too tall for toddlers 5T. That means this weekend we will again go searching for pants that fit him. Wish us luck. (And before anyone suggests jeans with the adjustable waist, he hates jeans and won't wear them. Making my job much easier...)

Lordy Lily is the same way with pants. I found the 5T (girls obviously) at the Gap fit her best. We picked up several pairs of cargo pants for her there.
I don't know if they have a Target out by you but the carry pants (not just jeans) with the adjustable waist.
