The Shower for Jackie was nice. Talked to a lot of family that I don't get to see all that often. Norm stayed around for most of it, and he has a suggestion to make baby showers a little more exciting--he says we should make a drinking game out of it--everytime someone says "awwwhhhhh!", you have to drink. Not a bad idea!
The boys and I made it back to Paradise at about 10:30pm. Brendan and Aaron were excellent in the van and Joshua was good except for the last 2 hours, which he cried almost the entire time. And yes, I drove slower in the dark to watch for deer, moose, bear, wolves, porcupines, foxes, coyotes, and the very fragrant skunks. Only saw 1 doe though.

Not sure how I did on the chemistry exam. I studied for maybe a total of 1 hour in the morning before class. I hope to not do that again.

My new drink.............coffee. Yes, I am drinking coffee. Anyone who knows me, knows I have drank tea--strong tea, and not a huge fan of flavored teas, with the occassional coffee from Starbucks. (Can you call a Peppermint Mocha or Caramel Latte coffee?!?!?) I recently had to try the creamer, vanialla chai spice, on the advice of someone..........and I REALLY liked it. So here I am drinking coffee. Several cups a day in fact. I even got a coffee from McDonalds drive thru on the way up here to stay awake (2 creams 2 sugars--I had no friggin idea how to tell them to make it, as I usually only use a bit of creamer!) Who'd a thunk it???

We will have a visit from Ryan's parents this weekend. It will be their first trip to see where we are living now. I think they envision us living in the backwoods somewhere in a shack with this little dirty lake nearby. (I think they must be picturing something like the place on Wildcat Road---you have to see it to believe it people!) Won't they be thrown for a loop!!
