End of April
Boys are all getting big. Joseph is growing and his personality is so big! The boy loves his brothers and they love him. I have to admit he's pretty spoiled. Not spoiled in the financial way, but in the way that we all do what he wants cause when he asks you to play with him, no one can resist. Cute baby boy.
More life changes are abound! Stay tuned for updates ;)

Another Day of Madness
So this puppy thing.............
It has been 14 years since I have had a puppy. 14. And 14 years ago we were blessed with the best dog ever: Trudie. How can you really compare how awesome she is to these new girls? The bar is set very high.

Germs
I have a cold. I, like most people, dislike being ill. It is a beautiful day out, but I want nothing to do with it. Instead of doing what I would normally do, I stay inside and try to get better.
Being today is October 1st, I want to decorate for fall. Maybe once I feel better.

Purge
Joseph is currently taking out my pots and pans and playing with them. He is getting big and my house is so not child-proofed. Well, it is in the way that I have nothing that could harm him in his reach but I don't have those cupboard locks in place anywhere. Don't think I am going to do that either. I may get the door-handle guards to keep him out of certain rooms (bathroom) for safety reasons. (He pulled himself up enough to do a flip into the bathtub the other day....Ryan said he turned his back for a minute while runnning the bath water for Joey's bath, and flip, there he went. No injuries noted)
Ryan is coming home for lunch again today. This was a big reason we moved here, to give him the opportunity to come home for lunch. The days I am home from work we can sit and have a nice lunch together. Days I do work, he comes home to let Trudie out to go potty. Works out great.
Have a great day. Enjoy this beautiful fall weather!

Good Monday Morning :)
Joseph is already down for a nap this morning. He was awake since about 6am so a nap at 8am seems reasonable. He has not been sleeping all that well these past couple weeks, awake a lot at night fussing and crying. I don't get up with him unless his cry warrants attention.
Ryan and the boys brought half the shed down yesterday. Ryan hopes to get the rest down this evening. Several more bats were seen flying in and out of the roof area. I feel bad because we are destroying the home they live in. I need a bat house.
Yesterday I spent my day working on things though the house. Even though we officially moved into this house mid-June, there is still unpacking and organizing to do. Not so much unpacking, but maybe just re-organizing. A lot of items were just put in the basement or closets. There are also items that were put in this closet, but now that I've been here, I don't like it so I am changing things around. I'm sure this will be the theme for months to come as no one ever moves into a home and puts everything where they want it and it stays that way. I am also still purging as I go. Several items have been in boxes from our original move north 6 years ago so some of those items are being donated.
Now that I'm typing this, it is giving me the desire to get back at it. So now I am off to conquer Aaron's closet. This is an old home in an old town, so small closets mean I have to be creative on how I organize/store stuff. Maybe I will post some pics of the inside of the house one day soon.

Have you noticed the cooler weather?
Time to break out the fall scented candles! Time to wear nice, warm, comfy clothes! Time to sit outside with a cup of coffee and enjoy the sites and smells that the cooler weather brings! Goodbye heat. Goodbye humidity. Hello cool nights. Hello good sleeping weather.
Yesterday I made a total 7 dozen cookies. Half chocolate chip with walnuts, the other half chocolate & butterscotch chip. Very good. Today I have already started my spaghetti sauce to be used later this week to make lasagna. I'm thinking Friday is a good day for it. I work Saturday & Sunday, so Ryan and the boys will have it for left-overs on Saturday. Tonight I am making dried onion encrusted chicken breasts, fresh green beans, and some noodle or rice side dish. Tomorrow I'm probably making homemade chicken soup. Oh yes, hello comfort foods of fall & winter. Best. Meals. Ever.
Today starts football for the Lions. I'm not much of a fan of football, but with Aaron loving ALL sports, I'm becoming a fan for his sake. I know almost nothing about football, but I'm letting Aaron teach me. He is still very much into baseball right now, so we shall see how he balances the two sports at once. Once October hits, we will all be enjoying hockey (if the lockout doesn't happen....). To celebrate football, Joseph is wearing his football socks. I would post pics, but again, my attempts at uploading pics have failed.
Oh, but wait, for some reason I was able to upload a pic! This picture is on the cute little brown bat that was in our shed this morning. Ryan and the boys are working on taking down the shed. It isn't really a shed, but a weird place home type place. It has several rooms and an upstairs. Problem is its location. It just sits in the center of our backyard and cuts off the lot we own behind it. Granted the lot is full of trees, but if we get the shed out of there and remove a few trees, the yard will be much imrpoved. Thank goodness that the boys have been to the Bat Program NUMEROUS times in Paradise to know that bats are not scary, but helpful little creatures. Just look at him, he is so cute!
I am going to get going and take some outside before and after pics. Have a great day!

Technology
Today I want to complain about technology. I love my smart phone, however, I don't use it as a phone anymore. Why? Cost. To use my Droid as a phone and as a smartphone, I had to pay $30 a month for the data package. Multiply that by 2 for me and then Ryan's Iphone. To save money I switched to the old style phone and Ryan did the same. Now Ryan has an iPhone thru work, so he basically just uses that at all times. His phone us now used as our "home phone" so we always have a phone here. I still use my Droid WiFi, it is now like an ipod touch. But, my complaint is that there are apps, Facebook for example, that are so flawed. For the past couple weeks, after a recent update, I can no longer update from my Droid. I'm able to post comments, but not able to update status or write on any walls. Is it a major deal? No. Is it a major annoyance? Yes.
Add to that the fact that I am still unable to post pics to this blog, and I am irritated with technology today.
Perhaps I am just cranky after a night of little sleep related to a baby who was up A LOT last night. A nap should be in my future, but I bet it won't happen because I have laundry to do. And maybe my dentist appointment (for fillings) this afternoon is making me on edge. Hoping this first cup of coffee helps :-)
