Hello Autumn weather. I have missed you.
Time to break out the fall scented candles! Time to wear nice, warm, comfy clothes! Time to sit outside with a cup of coffee and enjoy the sites and smells that the cooler weather brings! Goodbye heat. Goodbye humidity. Hello cool nights. Hello good sleeping weather.
Yesterday I made a total 7 dozen cookies. Half chocolate chip with walnuts, the other half chocolate & butterscotch chip. Very good. Today I have already started my spaghetti sauce to be used later this week to make lasagna. I'm thinking Friday is a good day for it. I work Saturday & Sunday, so Ryan and the boys will have it for left-overs on Saturday. Tonight I am making dried onion encrusted chicken breasts, fresh green beans, and some noodle or rice side dish. Tomorrow I'm probably making homemade chicken soup. Oh yes, hello comfort foods of fall & winter. Best. Meals. Ever.
Today starts football for the Lions. I'm not much of a fan of football, but with Aaron loving ALL sports, I'm becoming a fan for his sake. I know almost nothing about football, but I'm letting Aaron teach me. He is still very much into baseball right now, so we shall see how he balances the two sports at once. Once October hits, we will all be enjoying hockey (if the lockout doesn't happen....). To celebrate football, Joseph is wearing his football socks. I would post pics, but again, my attempts at uploading pics have failed.
Oh, but wait, for some reason I was able to upload a pic! This picture is on the cute little brown bat that was in our shed this morning. Ryan and the boys are working on taking down the shed. It isn't really a shed, but a weird place home type place. It has several rooms and an upstairs. Problem is its location. It just sits in the center of our backyard and cuts off the lot we own behind it. Granted the lot is full of trees, but if we get the shed out of there and remove a few trees, the yard will be much imrpoved. Thank goodness that the boys have been to the Bat Program NUMEROUS times in Paradise to know that bats are not scary, but helpful little creatures. Just look at him, he is so cute!
I am going to get going and take some outside before and after pics. Have a great day!
