Its October Baby!

Mondays & Wednesdays are long days for me. My first class starts at 8am and my last class ends at 5pm. I'm pretty loaded down with books on those days. Lots of big-ass nursing textbooks. As those of you who read my blog on a regular basis, you know of my backpack dilemma--and for those who don't, go back about 2 weeks to read a few posts about it. But this week was problem free thanks to my new ZUCA. No back pain, no trying to figure out what book to leave home to make it a lighter load. The best part about it? I'm all stealthy. (Is that a word?) Don't you hate hearing those wheeled bags coming down the hall? So damn loud. That has been my irk about wheeled bags in the past, but my new one? Stealthy I tell you! No one can hear me coming. And when we get a blizzard that knocks out power to campus? I can lead the way with my light up wheels......The most common question asked since I got it has been, "Was it expensive?" My answer, "Yes, but SOOOOO worth it." I think I have even a few ZUCA converts...............
That will be my last post about my ZUCA, I promise...........maybe..........I plug it cause I love it. www.zuca.com

Had my first exam today in Med/Surg. Grades were (surprisingly) posted this evening. My score? 88. I was happy with that. Not an A, but my new mindset for this semester is "it doesn't have to be an A." That is when I noticed it was 88 out of 90. HUH? I mean, I thought I did well enough to pass, but that score is so above what I thought it would be. There is still some question about that because there were 98 questions on the exam, so where did the other 8 questions go??? Best guess is she threw the questions out?? Suppose we will find out Monday morning.

Paid $3.86 for gas today in the Soo. Cheapest in at least a month for sure. Great for me since I drive over 120 miles a day. Yippee.

My husband is telling me how he would rather someone offer to pull his teeth instead of doing his composition homework. Comp II, his worse enemy. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Kids, go to college/university right after high school. Even if you are making good money now, it may not last. Get that degree (Bachelors at least) before you are in your early 30's and have children to attend to.

October 1st. 30 days until Halloween. The Haunted Trail is only a few short weeks away. Leaves are changing and scattering around. The winds have been up an the temps have been falling. Fall on Lake Superior. My favorite time of the year. (Until winter, and then THAT is my favorite time.)

Stupid paper isn't writing itself......................
