Today started the Blueberry Festival and all its glory. This morning I worked my shift in the Souvenir Tent for just over 3 hours. This was my first year doing it and I plan to volunteer again next year. Besides, you get a free t-shirt that is EXCLUSIVE to staff so that rocks. Jealous, aren't you?
Alida and her kids arrived late Wednesday night so we went over there last night to visit with them. The kids played the Wii for hours and then I proceeded to kick Pierce's butt on Wii bowling. (Just kidding, he kicked my ass but we do have plans for a rematch.) Joe come up late last night as did everyone else. (At least I think everyone is up over there.) And Jackie & Jeff will be here late tonight with Clare. Nicky has been here since Monday afternoon when my folks brought him up. Yep, this is the biggest event of the summer up here. I know to the most of you, Labor Day is the end of summer, but up here it seems the Blueberry Fest signals the ending of our summer.
And I have big news for me......I finally beat Lou on GH3 this evening! I have yet to beat him on easy so this was exciting to me. I am looking forward to the day that Jen gets WiFi so we can compete. Kelly--do you have it on WiFi???
Right now my Dad is getting the fire roaring out on the beach so we can hang out there while waiting for Jackie to get here. I suppose I should get some ambition and head out there instead of playing on my laptop and watching Ryan on GH3. Later Gators.
