Does anyone else think that the chick who made tasteless pasta salad should have packed her knives and gone home instead of soggy corndog man? Seriously though, pasta salad is easy. Even I think I could make a tasty pasta salad. Regardless, it was amusing watching the drunk team at elimination time. That's good tv.
Still have quite a bit of snow here. I took some pics to post that I plan to post tomorrow or even tonight if I need a break from studying (like now!) The Locks have opened and are quite busy already. We are seeing heavy freighter traffic nightly. It is still hard to see the ships during the day due to all the ice and snow, but at night they are easy to spot with their lights. The Coast Guard have been out as well trying to keep the channel clear.
School pretty much sucks right now. Bogged down with asignments, assessments, care plans, charting, and prototypes. Exam tomorrow and another one on Tuesday. Time has come for our clinical location rotation, which basically means that on Sundays I have to go to the Soo to prepare for Monday morning clinicals, then come home and be ready for report early Monday morning. Awesome. Driving 6 days to the Soo is so much better than driving 5 days!! On the plus side, I think my winter driving skills far outweigh my husband's by now.
Oh, Easter! Easter was nice. Jackie, Jeff, & Nicholas were up. Had the yummy dinner on Saturday and the egg hunt on Saturday since they left early Sunday morning. We hid 150 eggs for the 4 boys to find. But remember, we don't have the benefit of hiding eggs outside, unless you want your kids to be wearing snowpants and trudging thru 2-3 feet of snow. That meant hiding 150 eggs in the lower level of the house. The advantage is that we need to hide some in pretty obvious places so Joshua and Nicholas could find. Again, I hope to post pics of that later as well.
Did you know that in Ontario teachers are not allowed to give a kid a 'zero' for turning in an assignment late?? No matter how late it is, they have to give them FULL CREDIT. It is actually some law they have there. Apparently it hurts a kid's self-asteem to get a zero and taking points off for late assignments is too traumatizing, so let's give them full credit! Whoohoo! Give me a break. Could anyone tell me if this is a practice that happens where you live? (I listen to a lof of CBC and NPR on my drives, can you tell?)
Well, my baby is awake from his nap and I need to snuggle with him for a few before I regain my ambition and study. (I have to cram before the Celebrity Apprentice is on.........tonight is the finale so I can't miss!)

Where I teach a late assignment is marked down to 50% if it is one day late and to a zero on the second day.
Pasta salad lady should have been eliminated the week before for the crappy mushrooms.
