Thanks to everyone for the kind words and prayers through everything with Ryan's Dad. It made for a weird Birthday for Ryan, but we were glad that his Dad's suffering was over.
Right now our house should be under a quarantine. Josh started with a fever Monday afternoon and things just spread quickly from there. Josh still has a runny nose, cough, & fever today. Brendan had a fever Tuesday night and I kept him home from school Wednesday just to be sure. He was able to go to school today--only a 1/2 day which makes it nice for him. Ryan started getting sick Monday night and has it pretty bad. I started Tuesday but my case is mild compared to Ryan's. The big thing I notice is how TIRED everyone is with this. Ryan can sleep at the drop of a hat, I keep dozing off and fight to stay awake, and Josh fell asleep yesterday at 5pm and slept till almost 7am this morning! Holy crap that's a long time! I was hoping that after a sleep like that he would wake up feeling wonderful. Not so much. And the fever crept back up dammit.
We are all really enjoying Mia. Mia is my Mom's new puppy. She's a long-haired doxie and very cute and cuddly. If there is an open lap, she crawls into it. Very sweet little girl.
Currently I am on spring break. What a great way to spend it...........dealing with sick kids and a sick husband. I had these grand plans to get all caught up on school work, but that so isn't happening.
Good news to report! I was lucky enough to be offered an OB internship for the summer at the hospital in the Soo. I interviewed in 3 departments overall. There were many students going after the internships in each department, so I feel very lucky to have been offered this one. This is such awesome news for me!!!! The pay rate is good and the experience I will gain will no doubt help me for my upcoming senior year. Yippee!!!
After many COLDER THAN COLD days, today seems to be much warmer. (Don't include the wind though, cause the wind makes it feel chilly!) We were in the -20's for several mornings in a row, so yesterday when it was 0 degrees when I took Brendan out to the bus, it felt warm.
This afternoon we have to attend Parent-Teacher conferences. Since the boys have the same teacher, we have back-to-back times. I know I will hear all good things...........at least that is what I hope!
Time for me to relax...............maybe that Little Miss Mia will want someone to snuggle with..........
