Our trip across the river yesterday was interesting. Once we crossed the bridge we drove around to see what was there. We did find the hospital, which was one reason for going. (Next semester clinicals will most likely be over in Ontario so I wanted to know my way around before then.) After sight seeing, we went to the mall. Hmmmm. Its kinda like Macomb Mall. Nothing really fancy, but a mall just the same. Being that we were both starving, we stopped and ate at Joey Calzones, which was spectacular! By this time, it was around 6:20pm so we ventured out into the mall to do a bit of shopping. But what did we see? Closed shops. Who knew that Canadians close their malls at 6pm, on a Saturday! I don't think I have to tell you how shocked we were. So we pretty much had no where else to go but back to the States, so I drove (cause my husband always looks like a deer in the headlights or someone guilty as sin.....) And just a note to the rest of you, don't try to pay the man at Customs/Border Control. He will look at you funny and then you will feel like a total ass. Yeah, that was fun. I'm damn lucky that I was driving cause the "guilty" looking hubby would have been so flustered that we would have been searched for sure...............but then again, we didn't have jack shit in the car cause the damn mall closed at 6!!!! So instead we shopped at Kmart in the Soo, Michigan. Whoopee! If nothing else, our 10 year anniversary date will be memorable for the goofiness surrounding it............
I just have to say something about our future President. Talk is that he will appoint our governor to some higher up position. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. And they also say he consulted with her several times during the campaign. Again, I gotta sit here and say Hmmmmmmm. Well, she did such a great job here, I can't help but wonder how the rest of the country will now benefit from Jenny from the Block and what exactly the Pres elect is thinking?!?
Much reading to do today for class tomorrow.............
