Ah, another restful Tuesday off. NOT! Another day to drive all over to get shit done. Started off leaving here at 8:30am and drove the 1.5 hours to Pickford for Aaron's dentist appt. Stopped quick also at the shoe store there--and they don't sell kids shoes either. Left Pickford and drove the 30 minutes north to the Soo. Got Josh & Aaron haircuts. That went well, as always. I almost had a bitchy moment when the Cranky Barber (there are 3 total and he is the only cranky one) decided to start saying to me, "If he's gonna fight, I can't put it up with. In fact, I won't put up with it. I'm just getting over a broken finger....." That is when I cut him off and said that he WON'T fight, NEVER has fought, and will probably be the BEST 2 year old he has ever had the pleasure of cutting. I said this as nice as I could when inside I wanted to punch him in the face. (Anger issues, me?) And as usual, Joshua sat completely still, followed all directions, and had won the old cranky man's heart by the end of the haircut. I wanted to say "Told you so!" but held it in. And the haircut? Awesome. Cranky Barber gives good cuts. Aaron, as usual, wouldn't go to Cranky Barber and waited for Always Happy & Smiling Barber, who doesn't give as good a cut, but always gives lots of smiles. And for Aaron, that is all that matters.
So back to my day..........after haircuts we ran to Ri.te A.id to get some deals. Although I am in no way as good at that as Jen, I still managed to get some bargains. Bought lots of stuff that once I do the rebate thing (online), will be totally free. Yeah me. Now I just have to remember to go online to do the rebate thing. After there we went across the street to buy some pumpkins. Got 4 large pumpkins for a decent price. Well, decent price for here anyway. Then a VERY quick stop at Wal.mar.t and then the hour drive back to Paradise. We had to get home in time to get Brendan off the bus, we made it with 15 minutes to spare.
On to other things............
It's that time of year!!! Currently we have 6 freighters anchored in the Bay. And this morning we had a visit from The SnowStick Fairy!!! That means that Fall is for sure here and Winter is soon to follow. I just hope we don't get snow this weekend for the Haunted Trail. That would suck beyond sucking. But then again, it could really make our site look wickedly cool.......
I got gas today in Brimley for $3.25. That is the cheapest in many months. It almost makes me feel better about the over 120 miles that I drive a day, but not really. But again, don't think about it cause what can I do, right?
No more slacking for me. I have a midterm tomorrow and my comprehensive care plan is due Thursday. Gotta get to work.
