Shopping Trip

I must tell you about my shopping trip yesterday. It was decided the night before that I would go shopping with only one son and that it would be Joshua. (The bigger boys didn't want to go with me this time as they wanted to play with Aaron's bday gifts.) We left at 8:30am and did the following shopping trip:

• Wal.mar.t
• K.ma.rt
• JCP.enny
• Ri.te Aid
• Credit Union
• GFS
• Gas Station
• Glens

And Joshua made it the entire time without a diaper. No diaper. No accidents. Not one. He did, however, pee in the following store bathrooms:

• Wa.lmart
• Km.ar.t
• JC.Pen.ny
• GFS
• Glens

How awesome is that? 2 1/2 and doing that great already. Now the only time he wears a diaper is at naptime or bedtime. He wants to go to bed with no diaper, but until he gives up the bottle, that won't happen.

I will say that our trip was great for another reason--alone time for Josh and I. Its very rare that Joshua gets to go anywhere alone without his brothers. It reminded me how easy it is to do stuff like shopping with just one child. Holy crap, you can accomplish pretty much everything when you only have one kid to worry about!! Wow, it was a different world for me! I had Aaron when Brendan was a mere 19 months old, so I only had 1 child for such a short time, that I don't much remember what that was like. Ahh, how long ago that was.......................
