I am asking everyone out there for suggestions of books or websites that they use for natural (and hopefully cheap) cleaning 'recipes'. Anyone know of any good sites or have a book they use? I have found a few, but maybe there is an awesome all-in-one site/book that someone has discovered before me. Thanks for all your input in advance.
Took a trip to the Soo this afternoon--never did go on the boat but wouldn't you know it, once driving to the Soo, it looked as though the skies cleared up. I was a bit bummed cause I had a list of items I wanted and had coupons for them all, but once there, I could not find over 50% of the items on my list. Dammit. What good are my coupons and my frugalness (is that a word?) when I can't find the damn items?!? Even my boys know the rules. When shopping, if they see an item they want, they turn to me and ask, "Mom, is this on sale?" If I tell them no, they understand that 9 times out of 10, we won't be buying it.
While there we went to Applebees for dinner for Father's Day. (I guess the whole chicken I was gonna roast, garlic green beans, & another side that I haven't quite figured out yet will have to wait till tomorrow.) Luckily my favorite dish they serve is on the 'lighter' side :) We had planned to treat the boys to dessert, but it seemed our waitress totally forget we were waiting there so when she came around to order the dessert we told her we were going to have, we were ready to go. (And we went fairly early to beat the Father's Day rush, so the place was not busy at all.) Instead I bought some root beer & vanilla ice cream and made floats when we got home. Ryan and the boys thought they were yummy. Me? I decided to treat myself to a Coke instead, minus the ice cream. Only my 3rd pop in three weeks!!!!!!!!
Mom's garden is looking good with all this rain we have been having. Personally I am looking forward to the fresh produce, as we don't get very good quality products up here. And it will save us loads of cash. Did I tell you that a few weeks ago they were selling red peppers for $6.99?!?!? For ONE pepper. I swear that is what the sign said. I just stared at it in the store with my mouth wide open. No, I did not buy a red pepper that week. oooh-I just remembered the farmer that sells his goods at the corner of M-28 & M-123 should be there soon. Now he sells awesome produce at amazingly low prices. Go Farmer who sells me his goods for cheap!
Mom & Dad--the boys spent their $5 from you today. Brendan picked a NEW Ben-10 toy. Aaron chose the other $5 Transformer cartoon DVD. And Josh, well, after much deliberation on his part, he finally chose a bubble-blowing gun. For 2 years old, he sure is a careful shopper and really thinks about what it is he wants.
Well, it is late, but I still must work out. I took yesterday off and am feeling pretty guilty about it. Have a good upcoming week.

This site doesn't claim to be one that use natural materials but it may be a beginning point.
