Dump Day!

I was thinking this morning about how much everyone’s bloggings have become part of my daily routine. Once I wake in the morning, make myself some tea, feed the dogs & let them outside, and soon after I sit down with my tea and look at everyone’s blog. I find myself really enjoying reading what people post and I really love to see the photos that are posted. And I must say that recently Aftermath has been keeping my mind working………and those of you who know me know the nerd that I have always been!

The plan for today is to go to the library, the post office, & since it is Wednesday, that means its dump day!!! I'm hoping the weather stays nice so we can also get outside to play and fill the feeders as they are empty.

Dinner yesterday was good. Notice I said good and not great. I have decided that making the broth that way, was no better than the chicken soup I normally make. (And I make awesome chicken soup!) It just seemed like a lot more time and effort, when the way I do it takes half the time (although it still simmers all day) and has lots more flavor. Why mess with perfection? I suppose if I used chicken stock a lot in other recipes it would be worth it for me, but I don't so I don't think I will be doing that again in the near future.

Tonight for dinner we will be using the leftover spaghetti sauce that I made a few weeks ago and using it with the rest of the frozen tortellini we have in the freezer. And I think I will be making some angel hair pasta so Brendan can have that instead of tortellini. Besides, if I make too many noodles, we will just have to fry them up for lunch the next day! Yummy!

Before I go I am asking for prayers and good thoughts for Jennifer's Dad. And while you are at it, send some of that to Jen, as I am sure she needs them. Thanks.
