Today I have started to potty-train Joshua. I had him watch "The Potty Video" and I don't really think it did the trick. That video worked like a charm for Brendan, the younger two, not so much. Oh well. I dug the kids potty out of the closet and got that all set up for him. So far he just carries it around the house with him. If he goes upstairs, he carries it up there. If he comes downstairs, he calls me to carry it down for him. We shall see if he is ready for this. If he doesn't seem interested after a few day, we'll put it away and try again in another few months. You can't rush the kids on this, they do it when they are ready, not when us parents are ready!!
A nice rainy day today means that I am working on some things that I need to get done in-doors. I've already been working on laundry and have gathered up all the winter boots to put away. Everyone gets one set of gloves and hat left out as we still need those almost daily. As the winter boots get put away, the water boots will be brought out. There is hope that Josh can wear an old pair of Aaron's and that Aaron can wear Brendan's from last year, meaning Brendan is the only one who needs a new pair. I do not know if that is possible since Aaron & Brendan are so close in sizes. I fear that both the big boys will need new pairs...........ugh.
My hubby is at Fire Academy Class all day today in St. Ignace. My folks headed to the Soo and then to Mackinaw City after that. The kids and I will be hopefully keeping busy doing cleanup work or playing games. Sounds like a good day to me. Hope you enjoy your day as well!
