Sometimes life gets in the way. That is my excuse for not studying as much as I should have for the pathophysiology exam that I took this evening. It was hard. EXTREMELY hard. Out of 50 questions, I circled 17 that I did not know or was pretty sure I was getting wrong. Dammit. Dammit. Dammit. My grades in this class have been great so far (5 out of 5 on both quizzes and a 94% on the 1st exam and 100% on the 2nd exam) so this time I am hoping for a B. Anything above a C would be wonderful. It was heavily centered on cardiac. Cardiac is complex, right? Don't think my profession of choice will be working in the cardiac unit.
Brendan stayed home from school today. He has had a fever since Monday night. Ibuprofen is keeping it down. Now we wait until the other two catch whatever bug (most likely viral in nature) that he has. Yah.
Thursday will be yet another "Thursday Trip to the Soo!" Most likely Brendan will stay home and miss his speech therapy appointment. I still have to take the other two cuties to get haircuts. And grab a few groceries. And stop at the electronics store to check on a cover for our new cell phones. And deposit checks. And whatever else I can think of tomorrow while I am there. By the sounds of it, you'd think I only went to the Soo one day each week. But my goodness, I am there 4 days each week--M, T, W for classes AND Th for Brendan's speech and errand day. Whhooooo hoooo! Go Sault Ste. Marie!
Who else can't believe that next week in Thanksgiving?? The family will be making the trip downstate to Ryan's sister's house for 2 days and his Mom's house for 2 days. While in the L.P., we plan to visit as many people (trolls) as we possibly can without driving ourselves crazy. Its tough because there are SO many folks we want to see, yet only have such a short window to do it in. As we aren't decided on Christmas plans as of yet, we want to see most people just in case we don't come down for Christmas. (Personally I want to stay here for Christmas for various reasons but we shall see.....)
Speaking of Christmas, I have accomplished much shopping already. Some is in layaway. The majority is piled, in no sort of order, in our closet. On the lookout for ideas for teacher gifts. I need to buy for 2 teachers, 3 teacher-helpers, 1 bus driver, 1 cook. Plus the ladies at Kids Klub (at least 3?) All women except 1. So if you are the creative sort, or just have a good suggestion, leave me a comment or email them to me.
Note to self: If you ever see that candy bar that you can't seem to find anywhere else, and you happen to see it in some little gas station in the desolated area of the UP, don't buy it. It only means that when the company stopped making the candy bar over a year ago, that this candy bar you just bought has been sitting on the shelf for that long.............
