Its all set. Finally, after weeks of trying to find a weekend that was clear for all of us, we have planned our getaway. Jackie, Alida, Jennifer, and I will have a weekend of scrapbooking at the end of this month. We will venture to a secret location where we will stay in our jammies all day, eat brownies, drink cocktails, and maybe even get some scrapbooking done. No kids. No husbands. No headaches! So until then I will be frantically uploading photos to be printed. Considering I have not cropped in over a year, that's a lot of photos!
My Mom is downstate visiting my Dad at his "home-away-from-home." Gosh, I just re-read that and it seems my Dad is in prison or something. Nope, just working for the big bucks and staying at a hotel long-term while there. I know Millie misses Dad, as do the rest of us.
September is definitely providing us with the rainfall we needed all summer. You won't catch me complaining though, I like the rain. Yep. The season is a changing and autumn is my favorite, with winter a close second place. Cooler days, cold nights. We already have had the heat on a few mornings around here. It should still be a few weeks before we will need the wood burner though.
Classes have been going well for me. Two of my classes will be intense with just busy-work. Many papers to write, presentations to prepare, many books to read. My third class will be the one that I enjoy, but will be the hardest one yet. Pathophysiology is a class that many people have to take twice in order to pass with a 72%, I hope that does not include me. There have only been 3 days of this class and we have covered 4 chapters and I have already started my note cards. Yep. The teacher is hard, but I love her. The best teacher/professor I have ever had in my life. I know in my heart that this class will be the end of my awesome GPA, but I still hope to come out with a B.
Brendan has been doing great in kindergarten. So far I have been very happy with the way things have been going. No complaints about his teacher either. She is a "newer" teacher, just graduating in 2005, but so far I have been impressed. She has sent home a schedule of what they do every day and sends home schoolwork daily to show his progress. I know its early, so I am hoping things run this smooth all year.
Well, that was enough of a break for now. Must get back to my patho notecards. First exam is in two weeks!!
