I've read it! I have finished Lean Mean Thirteen by Janet Evanovich. Yah. I was waiting and waiting with the rest of you crazy Stephanie Plum fans. (Hell, who are we kidding? Its Joe and Ranger we are waiting for!!) So yes, I have read it and loved it. I am starting to dread this long wait for #14. Suppose Janet could release another in the other series (Metro Girl and Motor Mouth) but those just are not as good.
Now I wait for the last Harry Potter book. Can you believe it? No more Harry? No more Snape? No more Hogwarts? Once that book is released, I have to stay away from the tv and pc just in case some one wants to throw out a spoiler. I don't want to know what happens until I read it myself.
What else is on my reading list? I just finished Susannah's Garden by Deb Macomber. Pretty decent book. This was my first by this author. I have read a couple Jodi Picoult books, but don't know how many more I will read. She is a great story-teller, but the problem is that none of the stories end that well. And I think each of them have left me a bit teary-eyed in parts. Also have started the James Patterson series, the women's muder club or something like that. I have read the first two and need to start #3.
Currently I am a few chapters into The Valley of Horses. It is the 2nd novel in the Earth's Children Series, the first being Clan of the Cavebear. These books take me more time to read than normal for me. Granted, they are much longer and more detailed than many books I have read. I also will start Kurt Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions sometime this week.
So here I go again, asking for some thoughts of your favorite reading. Do you have a new author that is your favorite? Any books you think I need to read? I'm pretty willing to give any book a try.
Gonna try to sneak in a few chapters before Joshua wakes up from his nap............
