Is it August already?

What have we been up to? Let's see.......

More fishing was done over the weekend. The weather was great and allowed people to fish for hours each day. Ryan and I took the boys out on the boat on Sunday. Joshua stayed behind with Gramma and Grandpa though. The only one to catch a fish was Aaron, and it was a small perch, but too small to keep. (Besides, the boys only want to catch and release!)

Our weather here has been pretty hot and humid. We do have the advantage of occassionally having a cooler breeze off the lake, so it does help at times. Yesterday the boys and I went swimming and had a lot of fun. I think that is our plan for today as well.

I think all the boys are finally over the fever thing that all three had. Joshua and Brendan had it together, where Aaron didn't get his fevers till a day or two later.

This month of August will be a busy one for us. August 9-12 the boys and I will be going over to Aunt Renee's new cabin to visit with family. This is the 2nd year we will be doing this and its a lot of fun. It will be all of Ryan's sisters and the sisters-n-laws with the kids. I can't wait to go so I can see Renee and Greg's newly built home on the inland lake. And the boys can't wait so they can go play with their cousins.

August 12th is Aaron's 4th birthday and that is also the day that Jackie, Jeff, and Nicholas will arrive here in Paradise. They will be staying the week!! We can't wait to see Nicholas and how he is in the water.

The weekend of the 16th to the 19th is the Paradise Blueberry Festival, which is always fun. At that time, Alida, Joe and the kids will be up, Jim and Kelly will be here, as well as Ann and Rich with the girls. A busy week with lots of family around.

As for today, Ryan went to work and then called about an hour into work to say that they are calling off work today so they can go fishing. Ryan's boss wants to take Ryan to show him all the fishing hot-spots. That's life in the UP. Gotta love it.
