Ahh..the relaxation of reading

Since I have been on break from school, I have had a chance to read my little heart out. I love to read. I can sit down and read all day--if given the chance, and that rarely happens. So here is what I have been reading as of late:

Eragon: I liked this book and have a hold placed on # 2 (Eldest?) at the library, so when it gets returned, its mine. It was a decent story, but does not compare to the Harry Potter Series. (It would take a lot to compare to that series!)

Janet Evanovich: I just completed Book 12 of the Plum series the other day. Loved it. Now I wait for Book 13, to come out in the summer some time. Damn it. I still have to read her Thanksgiving book, but I don't think it is available at our library. I think soon they are releasing a "novel-between-the-novels" Plum book. (Maybe this month?) Yesterday I read one of her earlier works, I think it was Love Overboard--yep, finished that in one day, mostly when the boys were at preschool and Joshie was sleeping. Last night I started Metro Girl and once that is finished, I will move into book #2 of that series, Motor Mouth. Yah, I am addicted to Evanovich. Its like a drug. (Who am I kidding? I am addicted to Morelli and Ranger!!!!)

Nora Roberts: I have read Angels Fist, Blue Smoke, and a few more that I can't remember right now. I see she has several new ones out right now, but I generally wait for them to appear at the libray. I love the library.

Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt: This one is written by Anne Rice. Yep, THAT Anne Rice. Surprised? I was, and that is why I checked it out. She writes about what Jesus was like as a young boy--what SHE thinks it was like for him. I can't say this was exciting to read, but good all the same.

Next on my radar: Kelly has told me to read Carly Phillips. I didn't see any at the local library, so I will have to investigate that one a bit more. I have checked out 1984 and hope to get to that. Its one of those books I always intended on reading, but never have. Claudine told me about another good book to get, but I'll be damned if I can remember what it was.

Ryan has caught the reading bug as of late. He is currently working on 1984 AND one of the Trump books. He said Trump's book is a really easy read. I think its wonderful that he is getting some down time to relax in quiet and read. That is what we did last night--sent the boys to bed and sat in the back room, watching the snow fall, and read our little hearts out. It was awesome.

School will start soon and I will be unable to read things I want. I will be stuck reading my Humanities book and all my nursing materials. But I am always on the hunt for a new author or book to read. I have Dan Brown's newest (at least I think it is) Deception Point from Janine. I think that one will have to hold till my next break though. Leave any suggestions in the comments section. I pretty much am willing to read anything. Send me your suggestions......

I have Dan Brown's "Angels & Demons". It was written before "The Da Vinci Code". If you haven't read it I could send it to you.
