The family headed down-state this past weekend to see Nicholas for the first time. We left Friday afternoon and were able to visit Jackie, Jeff, & Nicholas at the hospital. He is a very cute baby, just adorable. I couldn't wait to get my hands on him, and once I did, I promptly got him un-swaddled so I could check him out head-to-toe. He has the longest fingers I have ever seen on an infant. He didn't open his eyes a whole lot so I couldn't tell ya what I thought his eye color may be. I think his looks are a good mixture of his parents; at times he looks like Jackie, and others like Jeff. He has lots and lots of hair, even little sideburns already! Jackie seems to be doing well and should be sent home some time on Monday.

I have been checking daily/hourly for pictures of Nicholas. I am so happy both Mommy and baby are doing well. This is one of those times that living out of state is hard. Thank you for posting the pictures.
