Brendan and I went out yesterday to run some errands and met many new people. It was exciting to finally get some mail in our PO Box, got a library card, spoke to many people, and toured the school here. The school is quite nice, as were the people there that we met. There are about 58 kids enrolled for this fall, grades k-12. This past year, the graduating class was 5. And want to know where they went on their senior trip........HAWAII! All the money for thier trip was raised by the community, too! Today I am going to call about possibly getting the boys into preschool. If they go, the total class size will be either 8 or 9 kids, all ages 3 and 4. That is great news to me, as that means Brendan won't be the only one starting school next year! Many would think that the schools up here would be behind, especially when it come to technology, but that is not the case at all; Another interesting fact is that the types of courses may seem limited, but they offer courses thru the tv/computer...(I can't think of what those classes are called, the ones where you can talk back and forth thru the tv/computer with the teacher who is somewhere else??) It was great to meet people and learn a bit about what is going on with the school.
Off to get lots more stuff done. By the way, its another beautiful day!

I think the smaller classes will be better for the kids compared to 28 kids in matt's first grade class. You will have to get used to da yooper lifestyle, but I am sure that won't take long.
