We've come back "down state"

Dad, the boys, & I are back from our weekend in Paradise. LSSU orientation went great, making me super excited to start class in Spetember. Brendan & Aaron had such fun while there, that neither one wanted to return home. Even today they are asking when we are going to live "up north." That makes Ryan and I happy because we were a little worried as to how they would react to the move.

Lots of pictures were taken while there. The one above, is the view from the back porch, looking east. Looking west you see the same thing--beautiful Lake Superior's Whitefish Bay.
This one is of Brendan and "Brampa" walking out in the water. One bonus of the beach is that here the water is quite shallow for a long time, letting the boys walk out far. It won't be very long before they learn to swim.
Joshie enjoyed his first trip to Paradise. He was a great little guy for the 6 hour drive there and again on the trip home.
Aaron relaxing in the shallows..........
This is the pretty shell we found in the water. Brendan found many shells and Dad even found a (dead) crawfish to add to the collection. Brendan and Aaron kept calling it a lobster!

Brendan showing us all his sand-covered behind.

It is nice to know that soon we will be Yoopers and the rest of you will be trolls. I know this is a big move for us to make, but it seems to be best for our family right now. Once completing university, I will be a RN with a BSN, making my job possibilities endless. The boys will have great memories of living with their grandparents and having the back yard be the beach. Trudie will be able to chase chippies all day and swim when she wants, along with having Millie to pal around with. Yes, we will miss things about lower Michigan, but we have dreamed of living north for several years, and now we will be able to!
